Asia Trip: Day 42 - SIem Reap (2/25/19)
Daily Highlights:
Woke up at 4:15am to go see the sunrise at Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat was so crowded, mystical, and sprawling
Did a lifelong dream by going to see Angkor Wat
Had the best nap afterwards
Got lunch and went to snag ice cream afterwards
Talked about American food chains over breakfast
Made me miss USA
MY STOMACH FEELS SO MUCH BETTER
I went to get ice cream at this place called Swenson’s, it apparently is this big chain with locations all over Asia and maybe the world. For some reason, I could not figure out why I knew this chain but I did undeniably know this place. I could just not place from where I knew it from.
I was looking at the menu trying to figure out what to order and saw many pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge and names of streets in SF. Then it suddenly hit me, Swenson’s is an ice cream shop in Russian Hill by Elephant Sushi on Union and Hyde. So wild to have a piece of SF half way across the world.
