I started taking pictures when I studied abroad in China in the Fall of 2014. I was all about documenting all the different people, places, and cultures I saw while travelling. I was seeing and going to so many different places for the first time and I wanted to really remember them. I absolutely loved it. It was really special to me to capture those memories in photographs, to have a visual record of all the amazing places I went and people I had met.

So when I came back to San Francisco, I realized I wanted to continue providing myself with that visual record of the people, places and things I have been doing. San Francisco is such an amazing place where people come from all over the world to visit and live. Its such a vibrant city with so many different areas to explore, spots to eat and places to see.

SO you’ve probably seen the saying “Memento Mori” a lot.

What does it mean?

It is a saying in Latin, which literally translates to "remembering that you are going to die." This is a bit morbid, but when I live life aware of death, it puts things into perspective. It makes me chase my dreams, take risks, and live a fuller life. My hope is that this blog and my photographs will inspire you to think about what you want to do and experience before you die.
